Welcome to the Lewistown Art Center
The historic Lewistown Art Center, located in Lewistown, Montana, was formed 36 years ago when the Lehman Bunkhouse was joined to the Von Tobel Carriage House on the corner of 8th Avenue and Broadway, across from the Fergus County Court House. In 2009, the Art Center was relocated and can now be found on the corner of Main Street and 4th Avenue.
The Art Center is a hub of activity Tuesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m and Saturday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Admission is always free for monthly gallery shows featuring a wide range of Montana and intermountain artists. The Signature Gift Shop, located inside the Art Center features art and hand-crafted giftware from local and regional Montana artists consigning pottery, jewelry, fused glass, hitched horsehair, leatherwork, sculpture, paintings, prints, photography, books, CDs and much more.
After School Art, Young Artists, Summer Art Camps and Weekend Workshops provide exciting art and art education experiences for youth and adults. Each spring scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors pursuing a career in design, architecture, fine arts or art education.
The Art Center is home to the Community Labyrinth Garden, the Central Montana Writer’s Group, the Lewistown Woodcarvers and the Central Montana Community Concert Association. Over 400 members invigorate the Art Center with their participation, volunteering and financial support.
"The mission of the Lewistown Art Center is to promote art, art education and art appreciation through exhibits, outreach and cultural events for the enrichment and enjoyment of citizens in Central Montana." Join us!
